About four years ago, I wrote these words, and my life changed forever
I’m no longer talking to white people about race. Not all white people, just the vast majority who refuse to accept the legitimacy of structural racism and it’s symptoms. I can no longer engage with the emotional disconnect that white people display when a person of colour articulates their experience. You can see their eyes shut down and harden...[FADE]
The blog post became the book, and the book sparked a national conversation.
That was unexpected and interesting. But i’ve always been very wary of being seen as the sole representative of a wide ranging anti-racist movement. So in this podcast, we’re going to keep up the conversation. I want to know about where we once were, where we are now, and if literally anything has changed.
